The season of lent/easter & pentecost has past and advent is a few months away, and so we enter the season of “ordinary times”. It is a good time to consider “why” we do the things we do. In his ministry, Jesus had to address the legalistic observance of traditions and practices by those in his community. 2 Cor 4:5 reminds us to let God’s light shine in our lives and not our own.
