God, in showing us how much he loves us and wants to share his life of joy with us, didn’t continue sending us love letters – he sent us his Son to be with, and in, us – the Emmanuel. He came in-person in bodily form as one of us in Jesus Christ. The Son of God moved into our neighborhood, into our hearts. He became our neighbor.
