FAQ

Starting at 11am on Sunday mornings, we celebrate Jesus in a gathering that lasts about 90 minutes.

We begin worship with singing led by our praise band. Song lyrics are shown on a big TV screen in the front of our main room, which we call the Sanctuary because it’s a place for meeting with God. You can sing along or be silent, sit or stand.

After the music we usually have a short time of prayer and an opportunity for members to give financially towards the work of the church. As our guest, there is absolutely no obligation to give towards the offering.

Then our pastor, Gabriel Ojih, or another leader, will share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus using text from the Bible. Sometimes the pastor asks questions that those listening can answer to contribute to each other’s learning.

Afterwards, you are welcome to join others for refreshments in the hall. Some people hang around in the sanctuary or foyer talking with each other for 30 minutes to an hour after the service while others leave more quickly.

Our culture is generally informal, friendly and accepting.  Come as you are!  The atmosphere is warm, celebratory and relaxed.

We believe that children should worship, learn and have fun at church every single week – and at Grace Communion Richardson, we make this a priority.

After the music portion of our service, your children and teens will gather together in the children’s or youth room to experience Jesus through age-appropriate Bible lessons and activities. A nursery with a screen showing the service is available for parents to care for their babies and toddlers.

We aim to provide a safe and engaging environment that encourages kids to learn about and interact with Jesus. We strive to accommodate allergies and other special needs. All our volunteers are background checked by MinistrySafe and never work with children alone.
