Jesus founded his church on the Day of Pentecost to join him in his kenotic embodied ministry of relational love. It is his ministry and mission that he has invited us to share or participate in. We at GCR describe it in our vision/mission as “to know Jesus and to make him known.” We also describe it as neighboring with Jesus – our theme for this year. Let’s spend some time reminding ourselves about our vision/mission in participation in and with Jesus, who we are and why we do what we do with a focus on “to know Jesus.”
