Jesus’ transfiguration in the presence of the fishermen he told he was going to make them fish for humans, Peter, James and John, is an important reminder for us that our transformation comes from, and through Jesus. Our wholeness is from, and in, Jesus. Our resurrection is in Jesus. That death has no power or final word, only Jesus does. Jesus holds together the paradox or mystery of holiness and glory. We share our transformation in Jesus with each other and with those we engage in our neighboring.
