Grateful Living: Honoring God by Valuing Every Person We Know (or Don’t Know)

In-Person & Livestream 11am Sundays

Our daily lives are full of encounters, jobs, and services that often go unnoticed or are dismissed as merely “secular.” Yet, a life lived with intentionality reveals the sacred in the ordinary. The true hope of the Lord encourages us to recognize the inherent dignity in all people, seeing past job titles or social standing, because to God, all are alive. As Jesus reminds us, “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive” (Luke 20:38, NIV).

“Grateful Living” means actively honoring God by acknowledging that He uses everyone in our lives—those we know intimately and those strangers who make our world function—to bless us. We are called to “Work, for I am with you,” (Haggai 2:4), a reminder that every role holds value. By seeing the divine image in the delivery driver, the teacher, or the person next to us in traffic, our gratitude flourishes, and we participate in God’s desire to “encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word” (2 Thessalonians 2:17, NIV), making every interaction a moment of worship.

We’d like to stay in touch.
