What motivates us to obey God? Why do we do the things we do as disciples of Jesus, like neighboring where we live and where we gather in worship? Why is obedience an outflow of faith or belief? These are important questions that reminds us that to be people of faith, of belief, of trust is to be people who are growing in a knowing, loving relationship with God – who he is and what he promises. That forms the motivation of obedience, of being in his will and purpose, and the result of our faith.
