On this 2nd Sunday of Advent, it is helpful to ask ourselves: do we pause often before we speak, do something, or react? The bible has many examples encouraging us to pause, to be still, to reflect in our personal and relational lives. Let’s notice the significance of pausing in our frenzied lives with a look at Zechariah and the birth of his son John the Baptizer in the anticipation of the coming birth of the Son of God.
